week 6; monday night, evan

[ waver's been out in the library most of the day but, once night falls, he decides to make his way back to the room that he shares with evan.

he has some crumpled letters in his hands and he doesn't look particularly happy, but seeing evan makes him push his frustrations aside. ]

[Evan... has definitely looked better. In fact, when Waver enters in, he's sitting on the bed with a pillow held tightly in his shaking hands. He looks furious about something, though his expression softens when he sees who it is.]

...Hey. Did you change your mind, do you want the bed?

[londonstar]

No, I'm good.

[ he blinks when he sees evan like that???? ]

But you're not. What's the matter?

[selfinserting]

[He shakes his head, tossing the pillow aside.]

It's... fine. I just, um, talked to someone and they said some things I didn't really like. I'll get over it.

[In a rush to change the subject, he glances towards the letters in Waver's hands.]

...What'd you get?

[londonstar]

I suppose it had to do with Saturday's trial.

[ he glances at the crumpled letters, and his face turns quite red ]

Dazai. He sent me a couple letters and I'm now convinced that he wants to kill me of a heart attack.

[selfinserting]

...Yeah, kind of. But - it's really not a big deal.

[It is, but he doesn't want to talk about it. He looks lightly amused at what Waver says about the heart attack.]

...I got one, too. He mentioned you in it.

[londonstar]

Hm.

[ waver feels SERIOUS DOUBT about it not being a big deal but he'll leave it like that for now.

he looks at his letters, and sighs. ]

He mentioned you too. Said he misses you. He also said that the partner effects were his idea...so I suppose something is happening that I'm not aware of yet.

[selfinserting]

...People on the other side have been, been choosing the effects?

[He frowns.]

I don't feel any different... Maybe it's something that isn't obvious?

[londonstar]

From the looks of it.

[ he shrugs, as if to say that he has no idea. and he really doesn't. ]

He also told me to ask you about Tiger, although I'm not sure what for. What can you tell me about her?

[selfinserting]

...It depends what part he asked me to tell you.

[There's too many different ways that could be interpreted, based on what he and Dazai know about Tiger.]

Can I ask, um, the exact wording he used when he asked you to bring her up with me?

[londonstar]

He said it just like that- 'ask your partner about Tiger.' Or well, the word partner is censored, but it seems like the word that fits the best.

[selfinserting]

Okay. Um... To start with, you remember when Dazai, Veronica and I broke into her room and you called us all idiots with a death wish, right?

[He doesn't sound particularly upset about that, because... It was honestly fair.]

[ god that was the cause for a very large headache. but now that evan's mentioning it, he can't help but feel some curiosity. ]

Um... We kind of stole some of her stuff? He probably wanted me to tell you what we took from her.

[Clearly, this is reassuring.]
